Live stakes should be placed 3-6 feet apart in a triangular arrangement. This helps fill spaces best. Live stakes are planted more densely than tree species normally would, because there is an expectation that not all of the stakes will survive. One bundle of 25 will plant approximately 60 feet of stream if planted in 2 staggered rows.
