Product Description

GREYLEAF RED RASPBERRY Rubus idaeus spp. strigosus Also called American Red Raspberry this spreading, thicket-forming shrub has prickly, cane-like stems. Canes are biennial and will flower and produce tasty fruits for people and wildlife in their second year. It is adaptable to light conditions from partial to full sun, and tolerates poorer and disturbed soils, with greater vigor and higher fruit yields in more fertile soils. It does not tolerate wet soils, due to its susceptibility to root rot and other fungal diseases.

AVAILABLE AS #3 CONTAINER

HERITAGE RASPBERRY Rubus idaeus var. strigosus 'Heritage' This American Red Raspberry cultivar is an excellent choice for home and commercial growers alike! It produces 2 crops of excellent quality fruit. The first of moderate yield in summer on its second year canes, and the second in heavy yield from September until hard frost on its first year canes. Hearty, upright, nearly thornless canes are self supporting and can tolerate poor soils as long as drainage is adequate.
