The Lake SWCD Plant Native Sale is an annual plant sale featuring bareroot and small sized container plants. All species are native to the Eastern US and most are native to Ohio and/or the Eastern Great Lakes and Western Allegheny Plateau ecoregions. We will also feature cutivars of native species for use in landscaping or food production. All of our container species are sourced from local Lake and adjacent county nurseries.

All orders are PICK UP ONLY.

Order pickup will be in the Natural Resources Building at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1301 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Oh 44077
Pick-up times are Friday, April 24 from 9am until 6pm and Saturday,  April 25 from 9am until noon.

The email used to place your order will receive a pickup reminder.

Lake SWCD is not responsible for orders that are not picked up by noon Saturday. If you cannot pick up your trees, please make arrangements for someone else to pick them up.

Bare root orders will be distributed in woven sandbags, and should fit in most cars. Container trees and shrubs will fit in most vehicles laid upon their side. Larger orders of container trees may require a larger vehicle, such as a pick up truck.

There may be additional seedlings and conservation gifts for sale on pick-up day. Walk-ins are welcome (and encouraged!) but subject to availability.

We reserve the right to make substitutions if necessary. The plants are nursery inspected to be disease-free.

Lake SWCD cannot guarantee their survival after distribution. Planting instructions and species information will be provided when you pick up your trees.

Plant Native Sale Pre-orders will be ready for pick-up April 24th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and April 25th from 9:00 am to noon at the Lake County Fairgrounds Natural Resources Building.

The Lake County Fairgrounds is located at 1301 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077. The Natural Resources Building is in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds.
