GREY BIRCH Betula populifolia This fast growing tree thrives in disturbed, poor, well-drained soils. It prefers full sun, and and provides early successional habitat for wildlife. Its white bark provides winter interest similar to paper birch, but without peeling and with greater tolerance of heat and humidity
