PALM SEDGE Carex muskingumensis, has glossy green leaves that branch out from the main stem, reminiscent of a palm tree. Native to wooded lowlands, Palm Sedge does best in slightly damp soil in sun or shade. Widely used in landscaping, it makes an excellent groundcover and thrives on clay soils. Plant one foot on center for a groundcover or small patch, or use individually as a foliage accent plant.
