Did you know that most common landscaping plants are non-native and provide little benefit to local wildlife? Do you want your home landscape to be a native plant oasis? Join us to learn about great native plants for your home’s landscaping. In this winter program you will learn about native perennials and how to start your own native plants easily and inexpensively with a little help from mother nature.

Space requirements: Seating for attendees, electricity, media cart or table for laptop and projector. Tables to build mini green houses.

Materials provided by host: Clean transparent 1-gallon milk/water jugs, potting soil, duct tape, permanent markers

Materials provided by Lake SWCD: Native seeds, plant labels;
