Adult and Community programs

Presentations can be tailored to meet the needs of the audience and are flexible in topic, length, and group size. Living with Lake Erie as Your Neighbor Programs
With such a close proximity to Lake Erie, what each and every one of us does on the land affects water quality. Living with Lake Erie as Your Neighbor workshops cover a variety of backyard conservation and stormwater pollution reduction topics designed to give residents the information, tools, and skills to do right by our favorite lake.
Native Plants for the Home Landscape Programs
Incorporating native plants into landscaping isn’t just a trend; it’s a sustainable solution!
Native plants are adapted to our climate and require less water or fertilizer (if any). Their roots often extend deep into the ground preventing soil erosion while providing organic matter to the soil. Native plants attract wildlife and increase diversity in our landscape all while reducing the threat of non-native plant species.
Native Plants for the Home Landscape workshops highlight beautiful native species throughout the seasons.
Wicked Weeds: Invasive Species Programs
Invasive species threaten natural landscapes and reduce the health and resilience of ecosystems, which impacts both biodiversity and human well-being. Managing and preventing the spread of invasive species is essential for protecting environmental and economic resources.
The Wicked Weeds series of workshops are designed to help homeowners and residents living in urban, suburban, and rural areas identify and manage invasive plant species.
